I was there...She was there

All was dark
Except a dim beam
I was there
She was there
We were there
Looking at each other
I spoke no word
She spoke no word
She stared and stared
My heart skipped a beat
I ran and ran
Not turning around
I gasped and stopped
And turned around
There she was
Gasping along
I sat at the corner
And closed my eyes
An hour later
She was gone
All was bright…


Electric power was back
And the shadow had vanished…

My angel

Plunged in deep sleep
I slowly opened my eyes
The angel bestowed
Her candid smile
With a gentle touch
She caressed my forehead
I felt like floating in clouds
My burden was gone
I returned to those
Evergreen years of innocence
When I had first met my angel
First ray of radiance had been
Showered on that day
My life had been transformed
From the darkness to luminance
My insecurity and doubts were answered
By the sparkle in those magnificent eyes
So much solace I still feel
At the sight of my angel-my mother
