Maiden's revenge

The maiden hums a forlorn tune
At the arrival of the milky moon
Honey spreads in the gaping dale
Yet an ethereal hiss I hear in the gale

The song reminds of her haunting past
Her poignant tale till she breathed her last
As she chants, her life unlocks
All hearts stiffen, they feel a shock

How much more can the phantom strive?
Is she living dead or had she died alive?
Once a princess, she waits all alone
Like a stranger in the place her own

Pampered and nourished, her life was bliss
Her content life, there was nothing to miss
Until the day which shattered her life
The parson betrayed, creating strife

The family succumbed to his white lies
Her own got killed in front of her eyes
Between life and death she was wedged
To take revenge that day she pledged

She ends her song swearing to banish
All goes calm as her spirit vanishes

Day by day her determination grows
She will win, the day is close
She will win, the day is close
