Remembrance is forever

My ears hear the verbose song
Of a wait so long
Remembrance for thee
Remembrance for me
Remembrance for our true love
But alas! I was so wrong

Coercing myself to remember not
Those beautiful moments in my life
My life in those beautiful moments
Because memory forwards
It is remembrance again
Of thou elusion

They say that
Rose is for remembrance
Its beauty I see not
The thorns sting
Turning the pallid blossom
To a blood red

I vow to myself
I am over it;
I shall remember not
Making up my mind
I turn back
Roses I see
It is you I see

Remembrance – It is forever….

I saw....

Blowing fresh air
In the window sill
I saw her…….
She was standing there
Her hair so wet
Droplets dripping

Our eyes met
She ran…and sat
On the pathway bench
Opened up a diary
Hastily turned
The pages…..

She starred at void
Making up her mind
What to write
She took her pen
On a page she stopped
She tried to write

Her eyes filled with tears
Dropping the diary…she ran
Seeing her
I rushed
Ran behind
Followed her

She merged with the mist
And disappeared
Speechless I stood
Totally perplexed
Slowly I turned
And retraced my path

I sat on the pathway bench
Let out a gasp
My eyes fell on the diary
The pages turning
With the wind
It stopped on a page

Curiously I glanced
I noted the date
My heart skipped a beat
It was today
Few words I saw
In blood red

“I will be back”

I shut my eyes tight
Chanting a prayer
I felt a chill
I felt something
Touching my feet

I pulled it
And wrapped myself tightly
With the blanket
And slept
Forgetting the dream

Frozen Thoughts

Lonely in a horde
A silent stinging ache
Sour smile in the parched lips
Flaming and weeping heart
Tears fail to dry
Fears make me cry
Meaninglessly hoping
For a miracle
In this meaningless world
But betryal is written
With an invisible ink
Wherever I turn
I see, those biased faces
With disloyal traces
I succumb to those
Innocent smiles
But the monster creeps
Sending tremors
Making me loose faith
In this lovely creation
Of god- life

New year

The delightful sky smiled
At the stroke of twelve
Arctic moisture taped my parched feet
The lavender below whispered in cold

The squirmy sun was ready to peep
The exhausted moon ready to retire
Pleased, the sky threw its black blanket
Waiting to be adorned by the novel attire

The pretty pearl adorned the misty grass
The birds bellowed and assembled as one
To witness the glory of the crimson sun
The brooks today had a revived pace

The petite stones embedded
With the sparkling snow
Crowned the tousled mud
Glittering like diamond

The sun flickered slowly
And bestowed its first kiss
A silent music I heard
Of nothing but a beautiful new year

Two Liners

count your life not in just years
But in those moments of joy and tears

Heaven is not when you die
Heaven is then, when you feel more alive

To reach, I crossed, the seas seven
But in his heart I found the true heaven

What lies besides and what lies behind matters not
But what matters most is what lies within

You touch the soft curls, dancing to the magical tune
And slowly remove the veil from your face and I see the full moon

I have travelled the depths of sea
But in your eyes, true depth I see

Life

From dawn to dusk
The clock just creeps
And we slither along
Making money
At each of the stroke

We run and run
Conquering time
For materialist gain
No time to rest
No time to breathe

We have so much
We need so much more
Money is never enough
Much more luxury we need
To lead a content life

At last we halt
With no vigor left
Enveloped by old age
And we turn back
To revisit the happy moments

All seems blank
Happy moments seem
Silhouetted by our rush
Alas! In our pursuit for a content life
We forgot the real meaning of life

Maiden's revenge

The maiden hums a forlorn tune
At the arrival of the milky moon
Honey spreads in the gaping dale
Yet an ethereal hiss I hear in the gale

The song reminds of her haunting past
Her poignant tale till she breathed her last
As she chants, her life unlocks
All hearts stiffen, they feel a shock

How much more can the phantom strive?
Is she living dead or had she died alive?
Once a princess, she waits all alone
Like a stranger in the place her own

Pampered and nourished, her life was bliss
Her content life, there was nothing to miss
Until the day which shattered her life
The parson betrayed, creating strife

The family succumbed to his white lies
Her own got killed in front of her eyes
Between life and death she was wedged
To take revenge that day she pledged

She ends her song swearing to banish
All goes calm as her spirit vanishes

Day by day her determination grows
She will win, the day is close
She will win, the day is close
