New year
The delightful sky smiled
At the stroke of twelve
Arctic moisture taped my parched feet
The lavender below whispered in cold
The squirmy sun was ready to peep
The exhausted moon ready to retire
Pleased, the sky threw its black blanket
Waiting to be adorned by the novel attire
The pretty pearl adorned the misty grass
The birds bellowed and assembled as one
To witness the glory of the crimson sun
The brooks today had a revived pace
The petite stones embedded
With the sparkling snow
Crowned the tousled mud
Glittering like diamond
The sun flickered slowly
And bestowed its first kiss
A silent music I heard
Of nothing but a beautiful new year
