Quest for life

Running behind life
We fail to note
That life has slowed
And it trails behind
In the quest for successful life
We gallop faster and faster
But perplexed and saddened
We wonder, what went wrong?
We have everything yet nothing
Successful we are, yet life is missing
We fail to realize that
We need to halt
And turn back
There we would see
All that we missed
All that which was once ours
We would see the hopeful eyes
Of our loved ones
Whom we ignored
At last we will see Life
Still waiting...for us

Irony

I shrugged with disgust
Spilling my abhorrence
For my worthless life

Yet life loved
And bestowed
Unasked boons

Which seemed
Futile to my
Arrogant mind

Resolute to end
Consumed a pinch
Of pallid poison…

I sensed you
From my
Cataleptic state

Few hours of care
You bestowed
To a sinking soul

A sudden gush
To outwit death

But Irony of my fate….
I was a little late….

I learnt life
When life hated ………

Yes, I learnt life
When life betrayed………..

Life

From dawn to dusk
The clock just creeps
And we slither along
Making money
At each of the stroke

We run and run
Conquering time
For materialist gain
No time to rest
No time to breathe

We have so much
We need so much more
Money is never enough
Much more luxury we need
To lead a content life

At last we halt
With no vigor left
Enveloped by old age
And we turn back
To revisit the happy moments

All seems blank
Happy moments seem
Silhouetted by our rush
Alas! In our pursuit for a content life
We forgot the real meaning of life

Seeing sugary dreams with salty tears
Sailing smooth in a rough path
Aiming high when you are low

Life is all about
Being hard inside, soft outside
Adopting the new, remembering the old
Searching for light in the darkness

Life is all about
Doing your best when the conditions are worst
Taking life easy when the going gets tough
Forgetting the bitter experiences, recalling the sweet lessons

Life is all about
Smiling outside when you cry within
Feeling alive when you are almost dead
Staying young forever, even when you are old

Life is all about
Forgetting your foes, remembering your friends
Straightening yourself when you are crumpled
Giving a fresh starting when you are at world’s end

The symphony of life

Sometimes life seems like a curtailed song
With a kaput tune and a meaningless lyric
The melody goes on without any fervor
The whole concert seems totally out of sync
The music and the song gainsay each other
But whatever might be, the show must go on
What we need is a little fine tuning
A little self drive, a little motivation
To bring the gig back on the track
And once tuned, the melody flows smoothly
And life once again, becomes a delightful symphony

A confounding call from a secluded expanse
Keeps echoing, the vision is so vague
The Abyss and Eden show me a glimpse
In the darkness of the frightening night

The comforting smile of the Seraph
The gruesome laughter of the Satan
The bemused soul is truly unaware
To wherein it really belongs

A shadow floats sniveling above
Concealed by a layer of miasma
The clouds produce spiky drops
Each of the drops penetrates the soul

The twinge makes the soul realize
With each of the rain the haze uncovers
An eternal journey has just began
To an entirely eccentric world

Nearing the death day by day
Nearing new life day by day
Uncovering the enigma of death after life
Uncovering the enigma of life after death
The soul experiences a slow death
The soul regains a new life…
